Digital signature renewal reminder
The validity period of an electronic signature certificate is written in the certificate itself. Once it ends you can no longer sign documents, and a new key takes more than a minute to get. Set a reminder while everything still works.
Ready-made reminder
- Title
- Renew digital signature
- Date
- The certificate's expiry date
- Remind in advance
- a week before, plus a custom date a month before
- Repeat
- every year, or to match your certificate's term
Free, no card. The template doesn't create a record by itself: you enter the title and dates yourself. Email to @mail.ru addresses is currently blocked, so use Telegram for those.
Why a reminder helps
- After the expiry date you can't sign a report, contract or application.
- Reissuing may need a visit to a center or a data check, which takes days.
- The date usually lives in someone's head or someone else's calendar.
How to set it up
- Take the date from the certificate or the program that holds the key, not from memory.
- Add a second reminder with a custom date a month ahead: reissuing needs a buffer.
- If a colleague or accountant needs the signature, set the reminder for them too: LaterDrop can remind other people and groups.
Create it in a minute
- Open the LaterDrop bot in Telegram or sign up on the website.
- Create a new record with the title from the template.
- Enter the date, choose “Remind in advance” and a repeat if you need one.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I find the certificate's expiry date?
In the certificate properties in the program that holds the key, or in the document you got when it was issued. Use the date from there.
How early should I remind myself?
A week is enough if reissuing takes you a day. If you need to visit a center or collect documents, add a reminder a month ahead with the custom date option.
Will the reminder come to Telegram?
Yes, if you pick Telegram. Email works too, but messages to @mail.ru addresses are currently blocked, so use the bot for those.
