Car insurance renewal reminder
A compulsory car insurance policy (OSAGO) ends on a specific day, and on that day it stops being valid. A reminder a week ahead gives you time to compare offers instead of taking the first policy at the last minute.
Ready-made reminder
- Title
- Renew car insurance
- Date
- The policy's expiry date
- Remind in advance
- a week before
- Repeat
- every year, if you buy yearly policies
Free, no card. The template doesn't create a record by itself: you enter the title and dates yourself. Email to @mail.ru addresses is currently blocked, so use Telegram for those.
Why a reminder helps
- Driving without a valid policy risks a fine, and after an accident you pay yourself.
- On the last day there's no time to compare offers.
- The insurer may not remind you, or the reminder gets lost among ads.
How to set it up
- The end date is in the policy, near the top of an electronic one.
- With several cars, one reminder per car, with the plate number in the title.
- If a family member uses the car, set the reminder for them too.
Create it in a minute
- Open the LaterDrop bot in Telegram or sign up on the website.
- Create a new record with the title from the template.
- Enter the date, choose “Remind in advance” and a repeat if you need one.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I find the policy's end date?
In the policy itself, paper or electronic. Terms and rules depend on the country, so go by the date in your document.
Is a week enough?
For renewing online it usually is. If you like comparing offers, add a reminder a month ahead with the custom date option.
Do I need a repeat?
If you buy policies for a year, turn on “every year”: you won't have to change the date after renewing. If your terms differ, use a one-time reminder.
