How LaterDrop works, what it costs and how to help.
How it works
LaterDrop is a free service. It runs on the enthusiasm of one person: no team, no investors and, for now, no ads. Money goes to the server and the domain, the rest is my own time.
So, honestly: there is no uptime guarantee, and the service may change or shut down. You can export your records at any time or subscribe to a calendar link, which keeps your reminders even if the site is gone.

How email is shared
To make sure email is enough for everyone there is a shared daily pool divided between the people who chose email delivery. Each person's share is the pool divided by the number of such people, but no more than 20 and no less than 3 emails a day. When new users join, the share may decrease.
Telegram is not limited: if you want more reminders per day, connect Telegram. When the email limit for today is used up, the reminder is not lost: it goes to Telegram (if selected) or to email after midnight UTC.
Limits per person
So that nobody takes over the whole server, there are overall limits per person. They are more than enough for normal use, and finished records in the archive do not count.

If the service is going to close
- In advance. I will announce it at least 90 days before: on the site, in the bot and by email.
- With an export. I will send every user a file with all their records that can be loaded back into any compatible service or calendar.
- No new records. From the announcement I will disable record creation and registration so nobody puts into the service something I cannot keep.
- Until the end. Where possible I will keep the service running until all the reminders already set have gone out. If that is not possible, I will announce the final shutdown date in advance.

How to support the project
If the service is useful to you, you can help pay for the server and the domain. This is voluntary and gives nothing in return: no special rights or guarantees. The card number for a transfer is next to the jar.
If the project grows, unobtrusive ads may appear on public pages only. There will be no ads or tracking in your account.
