Telegram and email · reminders years in advance

Write it now.
It arrives right on time.

LaterDrop keeps your reminder and sends it to Telegram or by email — in a week, in a year, or on repeat. The feed always shows what is on its way, what has fired, and when the next one lands. And if a reminder arrives at a bad moment, you can postpone it or mark it done in your dashboard or in the Telegram bot.

Start right in Telegram

The LaterDrop bot does the essentials: create an account, set a reminder, see what is coming, snooze or mark as done. The website is there when you want more order.

  1. Open the botPress the button below, then Start in Telegram.
  2. Create an account with one tapThe bot shows the terms and sets everything up. It is all free, no card needed.
  3. Write reminders in plain words"Tomorrow 6 pm call mom", "in a week pay the internet".

Already have an account? It is the same in Telegram and on the site: sign in to the site with a code from the bot.

Four steps

From a thought to a reminder in one form

Nothing has to stay in your head: the record lives with us, and you get it when you need it.

01

Write it down

Describe in a few words what to remind you about, and tag it — “home”, “work”, “finance” — so you can find the record in a second.

02

Pick the date

Set the date and time in the calendar or with a quick button: “in an hour”, “tomorrow morning”, “in a year”. You can also add up to three advance reminders.

03

Choose the channel

Email, Telegram, or both at once. If you like, turn on a repeat: every month, quarter or year, anchored to a specific date.

04

Answer in one click

When the reminder arrives, it comes with “Postpone” and “Done” buttons. No need to open the site — the status in the feed updates itself.

Features

Four things, and all four are about reliability

No extra features: only what decides whether a reminder arrives or not.

Email and Telegram

The channel is chosen separately for every record: email, a Telegram message, or both at once. The channel you signed up with is confirmed first; the others are linked separately.

Schedule and auto-repeat

A main date plus up to three advance reminders. A repeat is anchored to the day of the month or day of the year — “the 15th of every month” stays the 15th five years from now instead of drifting by a week.

Manage from Telegram

In the bot you can create a record in plain text, see what is coming this month, postpone a reminder or mark it “Done”. No need to open the site: it is one account in the bot and on the site.

Archive, export and calendar

Everything that has fired stays in the archive. You can take your records as a .csv or .json file, or subscribe to a calendar — then the copy lives with you even if the service shuts down.

The path bar

You see not just what, but when

Every record carries a bar showing its path. Above it are three callouts with the exact date and time.

1
Created When you added the record. The path starts counting from here.
2
Will fire When the next reminder arrives. For a repeating record this is the next firing, not the very first send.
3
Ends When the record stops being active: the last date of the repeat series, or “no end date” if the repeat never ends.
·
Reminder ticks The small ticks on the bar are the advance reminders. Each one is labelled below the bar with how far ahead it fires and its exact date and time.
Example: renew the domain repeating every year

A reminder a year ahead is a promise

A reminder that never arrives is worse than none at all. That is why delivery has confirmation, retries on failure and plain statuses — and why you can take your records with you at any time.

Honest delivery statuses

We never say “delivered” unless we know it. Sent — the mail server accepted the message. Delivered — the channel confirmed it (Telegram can, email cannot). Failed — a rejection came back, the address does not work. What exactly happened is visible on every record in the feed.

Retries on failure, no duplicates

If a send fails — the mail server is down or Telegram does not answer — the attempt is retried automatically, and one channel failing does not cancel the other. A single reminder is sent exactly once, even if the server restarted.

Time in the recipient’s zone

If you set “12 January at 09:00”, your mother gets it at 09:00 her time, not yours. That is why everyone sets their own time zone — it cannot be set for another person.

Repeats never stop silently

A repeat keeps working until you stop it: the next occurrence is set automatically and the record is always visible in the feed. If the email cannot go out that day because of the limit, the reminder arrives in Telegram or after midnight.

Your copy stays with you

All records, past and future, can be exported as .csv, .json or .ics. You can add the calendar link to Google Calendar or Apple Calendar and forget about the service. It is free.

Free

No payment. And honest about how it works

LaterDrop runs on enthusiasm: all features are open while there is enough time and money for the server.

Everything is open

Reminders for yourself and others, repeats, tags, groups, export and calendar. No card, no paid plans and no credits.

Honest limits

Email is limited by a shared daily pool divided between everyone. Telegram has no limits, so it is the main channel.

How to help

The server and the domain are paid from my own pocket. The numbers, the hardware and how to support are on the About page.

Support the project

Empty for now: the spider is waiting for the first coin.

About and how to support Pricing and limits in detail

Poll: should we connect VK WorkSpace?

LaterDrop emails currently do not reach @mail.ru, @list.ru, @bk.ru, @inbox.ru and @internet.ru addresses. Mail.ru blocks the shared address of our mail service (Brevo) because of spam from other senders, and only Brevo can lift the block. A reliable fix is to send mail to Mail.ru through VK WorkSpace, but that adds about 1,200 ₸ a month to the project costs. Telegram and other email providers work as usual.

Questions

Short answers to what people usually ask

How much does it cost?
Nothing. The service is free: all features are open, no card, packs or credits. Limits and what comes next are on the Pricing page. If it is useful to you, the About page explains how to help pay for the server and the domain.
Why does email have a limit?
The free email plan allows about 300 emails a day and they are shared between everyone. Telegram is not limited: connect it if you need more reminders a day. When the email limit for today is used up, the reminder is not lost: it goes to Telegram or to email after midnight.
Will it really not disappear tomorrow?
There are no guarantees and I say so openly: the project runs on personal money. That is why you can export everything as a file or connect a calendar: your reminders stay with you even if the site is gone. If the project has to close, I will warn you at least 90 days ahead, send everyone an export and, where possible, finish the reminders already set (see About).
What if a reminder arrives at a bad moment?
You do not need to open the site. The email and the Telegram message both carry a “Postpone” button — move it an hour, to the evening, to tomorrow or a week ahead. The record’s own date and the repeat schedule stay as they were: the next repeat still lands on its own date. And if it is already done, press “Done” and the remaining dates are cancelled.
How do I know a reminder got through?
We show only what we actually know. Sent — the recipient’s mail server accepted the message. Delivered — the channel confirmed it; Telegram can do that, while email has no read receipt and we do not pretend otherwise. Failed — a rejection came back, for example the address no longer works. The exact status is visible on every record in the feed.
Why does the recipient have to set their own time zone?
Because the time on a record is their local time. If you set “12 January at 09:00”, your mother gets the reminder at 09:00 in her own zone. You cannot set a zone for someone else — there is nowhere to take it from — so the recipient sets it themselves from the link in the email. Until then, reminders are not sent to them, and the dashboard shows that.
Can I cancel a record, change the date or mark it done?
Yes, all of that is available in your dashboard and in the Telegram bot until the moment it fires: you can edit, postpone, mark as done or delete a record. A deleted record does not stay in the feed; you can export everything in the Archive section.
What if the service shuts down — do my records disappear?
No. You can export your records as .csv or .json at any time, or subscribe to a calendar link and add it to Google Calendar or Apple Calendar. Then your reminders live in your calendar and will not go anywhere, even if LaterDrop disappears. Both are free.
Why do emails not reach Mail.ru?
Mail.ru currently blocks the shared address of our mail service (Brevo) because of spam from others, so emails to @mail.ru, @list.ru, @bk.ru, @inbox.ru and @internet.ru do not arrive. Until this is solved, Telegram is the main channel: open @LaterDropBot, an account is created with one tap. If you already have an account, link the bot in your dashboard settings.
